Fixing my Broken Window

February 4, 2017

Accidents happen.  I know as I was an “accident prone” child, and in many respects, trouble followed me around growing up.  It wasn’t that I was a bad kid by any means, but rather things “happened” while I was around.

So when I came home Friday to find one of the windows broken on my house I resisted my urge to freak out.  I figured that there had to be a logical reason why it was broken.  It didn’t look like someone broke into my home, but there was around hole in the window.

I had a feeling that a baseball went through it.

Sure enough, there was a baseball on the floor in my dining room and I had a knock on my door later that evening.  A crying and apologetic child greeted me when I opened the door and I learned that he was the one who put the ball through my window.

I reassured the child and let him know I would get it fixed – which is what is happening today.

In fact, it was a lot easier to find replacement windows in Los Angeles than I would have thought and by the end of the day today, my home will be as good as new.

Accidents happen from time to time – it is important that I remind myself of that.
